Marta Kahn received her BA from Yale University and her JD from Georgetown University Law Center. She also holds a professional certificate in editing from the University of Chicago. Her career as a criminal defense attorney spanned almost twenty-five years and was primarily focused on written work in the form of motions, post-conviction petitions, appellate briefs, and petitions for certiorari. In addition to handling her cases, Marta was delighted to have the opportunity to teach Written and Oral Advocacy to first-year students at the University of Maryland Frances King Carey School of Law. She lives in Baltimore with her two rescue beagles, Lucy and Ethel, and her cat, Stink.
